Skate Canada PEI is pleased to announce the 2015 PEI Fall Youth Camp. We welcome all skaters who meet the requirements below. This camp will be held at the Kensington Community Gardens in Kensington, on Friday, November 20, 2015. This is a provincial P.D. Day so skaters will not miss any school. The conductor will be Marie (McNeil) Bowness, Canadian Ice Dancing Champion in 1981 with partner Rob McCall. The duo also completed at 1980 and 1981 Worlds where they finished 13th. Since retiring from competitive skating in 1981, Marie has spent her time teaching young skaters in the Halifax area. Her focus for this camp will be “how” to create power and “how” to use edges all while doing things to music to make it a fun day. We are fortunate to have such an experienced coach leading our Camp this year.
Both on-ice and off-ice sessions will be held.
Space is limited so apply early. You will be notified directly by email of your acceptance.
