Future Champions

We are offering Future Champions again this season and have expanded the criteria to include potential candidates for the 2023 Games as well as the 2019. Attached is information with tentative dates and an application form. Please distribute to any interested skaters.

“FUTURE CHAMPIONS”
Skate Canada PEI is pleased to offer again this season a training opportunity for future competitive skaters.
Our goal is to identify and begin training young talented skaters who may be eligible for the 2019 Canada Winter Games. To be eligible for this training opportunity, skaters must have been born July 1, 2001 or later and have currently completed either Part A or Part B of the Jr. Bronze Freeskate OR if born July 1, 2005 or later and currently completed either Part A or Part B of the Preliminary Free Skate Test. Skaters should be interested in competing in Pre-Juvenile or Juvenile next season at Sectionals.
This season we are offering eight sessions throughout the season as follows:

November 15
November 29
December 13
January 17
January 24
February 7
February 21

New skaters will also receive a team jacket. Returning skaters have the opportunity to order and purchase a new one.

Training sessions will begin at 9:00 am with an off-ice warmup then move to the ice for a one hour free skating session beginning at 9:30 am. All sessions will be conducted in Crapaud at the South Shore Actiplex.

The sessions may be cancelled if there is insufficient interest. The fee this season is $150.00 payable to: Skate Canada PEI payable the first day Sunday November 1, 2015.
